Kelly Ann Monahan has been a friendly, familiar voice on the airwaves in Nashville since 2001. Born and raised in suburban Pennsylvania, Kelly got her start on commercial radio as a traffic anchor in Philadelphia before becoming a traffic reporter for various stations in Nashville including television station WKRN. She then added news reporter to her resume and won an AIR Award. After several DJ stints along the way, Kelly went on to become a syndicated producer, writer and editor where she got to interview country music stars and also serve as the voice of nationally-broadcast features. The author of the clean-eating recipe book Sweet Healthy Living, Kelly also has been the health and medical correspondent for World Christian Broadcasting now for over 12 years.
As a singer-songwriter, Kelly was named Suggested Artist in the VH-1 Song of the Year songwriting contest, and has performed everywhere from Nashville’s Bluebird Café to Philly’s Tin Angel. One of her inspirational songs was featured in a video for Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. She’s also a long-time musical member of Musicians On Call – which helps bring the healing power of music to patients’ bedsides in healthcare facilities.
